With the fan control features of argus monitor you can control the fans of your pc and set either a fixed fan speed or control them based on any of the temperature sources available on your system. Im about to transition to linux mint or ubuntu on my laptop and i was wondering if you are able to control the fan speedthresholds for laptops on linux.
It has a simple and basic user interface and most importantly it is free to download. It was written because the provided control centre 20 made my laptop very noisy when running in performance mode often running the fan needlessly at 100. Then once you activate your thermal profile the maximum front fan is 54 speed.
Im quite happy with it especially the hi dpi 1610 screen is very nice but there is one big issue that doesnt seem to have a solution so far.

Notebook fan control doesnt have my model speedfan cant take control of it i dont have the option in my omen gaming canter and im starting to get a bit frustrated. Check the box next to advanced fan control.
